The Premier League new-comers Crystal Palace have agreed a fee to Dwight Gayle from recently relegated Championship side Peterborough.
The highly-rated 22-year-old impressed everyone with his flair of playing for the Posh during a loan spell from Dagenham & Redbridge last season and completed a permanent move to London Road in January.
The talented forward went on to play a crucial role in the team's attempt to avoid relegation from Npower Championship, scoring a fruitful 13 goals in 29 appearances including an outstandng hat-trick against Blackburn Rovers.
However, the Posh were eventually relegated on the last day of the season by just a single point as Crystal Palace came from behind to snatch a victory.
Gayle has attracted interest from a host of Premier League as well as Championship sides following his impressive outing with Peterborough last season.
The Eagles have reportedly pipped all others to the post to sign the London born starlet who was seen at the Beckenham training ground on Thursday.
