Tottenham join race for Henrikh Mkhitaryan

29 June 2013 - 06:50

Spurs are the latest team to have shown an interest in Armenian international Henrikh Mkhitaryan. Shakhtar Donetsk's have announced that the player can leave for the right price and the player is believed to prefer a move to London instead of Liverpool.

  • Chelsea expected to sell striker after loan deal
  • Arsenal defender misses training ahead of Man Utd game

  • Liverpool have long been the favourites to sign the Armenian forward, who was last years top scorer in the Ukrainian leagues.

However, Tottenham director of football Franco Baldini has been impressed with the player after watching videos last week, and is now also ready to make a move for the attacking midfielder.

The 24-year-old's representatives have already been in England talking to Liverpool, but now a last minute offer from Tottenham has been made they will now travel to London to discuss a potential deal.
