Chelsea bid for John Ruddy rejected

29 June 2013 - 07:04

Chelsea's efforts to sign Norwich City's goalkeeper John Ruddy appear to have failed, after the Canaries rejected an initial opening offer for the shot stopper. Norwich are looking for almost double the amount Chelsea have initially offered.

 • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
 • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
 • Norwich value the goalkeeper in the £10 million range, whereas Chelsea have so far only offered half of that.
Chelsea are currently desperate to bring in some goalkeeping cover, as at the moment Atletico Madrid have loaned Thibaut Courtois while Petr Cech remains their only goalkeeper with experience.
The 26-year-old spent much of last season the sidelines through injury.
