Marseille's move to sign Ivory Coast international Gervinho appears to have stalled. Elie Baup hoped to sign the forward to spearhead his new look front line for next year, but the two clubs have yet to agree on a fee.
Arsenal are looking to recoup around 9 million Euros for Gervinho, but so far Marseille have only offered 6 million Euros. There is also some concern that Marseille cannot afford to pay the Ivorian's wage demands.
The former Lille forward has already indicated that he is happy to stay in England, but the Gunners are currently busy trying to secure the signing of Gonzalo Higuain.
A source at club Marseille told French reporters: "At this time there is nothing to report, but we are interested in the player still."
