Portugal international striker Nelson Oliveira has been linked with a move to Premier League side Fulham. The Benfica forward, who spent last year on loan at Deportivo, will hold talks with his current club regarding a move to England.
Nelson Oliveira had a difficult loan spell with Deportivo, despite playing in over 30 games for the Spanish side. The club were relegated at the end of the year, leaving Oliveira returning to his home club in Portugal.
However, Benfica are planning a massive sale of their players this summer to fund an aggressive pursuit of 2 or 3 South American players. Oliveira is one player who has been told he is free to leave.
With Martin Jol currently declaring Dimitar Berbatov will play one more year at the Cottagers, the Dutch boss is already looking for potential long term replacements and has decided that the 21-year-old - who has been capped over 10 times for his country - is a decent replacement.
