Belgium international striker Romelu Lukaku will be staying at Chelsea next year, despite talk of a loan move away for the forward. The player had been attracting the interest of several Premier League teams, all interested in bringing him in on loan.
Last year Lukaku had a very successful spell on loan at West Bromwich Albion, and Steve Clarke had hoped to bring him in on loan for a second year. However, new Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho insisted that Lukaku must stay at the club for next year.
The forward is a big part of Jose Mourinho's plans as the Portuguese coach looks to rebuild his squad for the new season.
