Lescott considering Man City exit

02 July 2013 - 08:11

England international defender Joleon Lescott is ready to quit the Etihad Stadium this summer, if new manager Manuel Pellegrini is unable to offer him first team football. The former Everton man has been linked with a return to his former club.

  • Chelsea join Liverpool & Man Utd in race to sign 26yo
  • Barcelona identify Arsenal midfielder as key transfer target

  • Lescott lost his place to Nastasic last year in the first team and is believed to be very frustrated with life at the Etihad.

£9 million could be enough to persuade Pellegrini into a quick sale, and with reports that Tottenham are also looking for another defender, Lescott is likely to have no shortage of options should he quit his current club.
