Manchester United eyeing Antonio Candreva

03 July 2013 - 01:00

The Udinese and Italian International playmaker Antonio Candreva is adding up interest from Premier League champions Manchester United in recent weeks. After having impressive performances at the FIFA Confederations Cup in Brazil, Candreva looks now cement his place in the first team after having five successive loan deals since he joined Udinese in 2007.

  • Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Spurs, Gilchrist starts
  • Chelsea midfielder looking forward to London derby vs Spurs

  • He had a great loan spell at Livorno, where he helped the club gain promotion to the Serie A, and a fairly promising spell at the Serie A Champions Juventus. Candreva excelled in his progress as well as performance at Lazio, and perhaps more so for Italy at the Confederations Cup.

Antonio Candreva would be a a good option to Manchester United given their struggles last season with the form of wide players. The likes of Nani,Valencia and Ashley Young failed to establish themselves in the team as they had below par performances each time.

It would be exciting to see in the days to come whether the Red Devils manager David Moyes is interested in a move for the 26-year-old Udinese playmaker.
