Napoli have denied that Paris St Germain have matched the 63 million Euro release clause of Edinson Cavani. The French club were reportedly closing in on the signature of the Uruguayan forward.

  • Chelsea's deal to sign RB Leipzig midfielder falls through

  • Napoli were quick to deny that PSG have made an offer for the player.

"We have not received an offer from PSG for Cavani,"said Napoli president. "We are a rich club that respects financial fair play, we do not need to sell our players.

"If someone wants 'El Matador' then they will have to pay the €63 million clause. If we do not get offers, we would be happy to have him with us at least until his contract expires in 2017."
