Real Madrid And PSG Rival Chelsea For De Rossi

Real Madrid And PSG Rival Chelsea For De Rossi

05 July 2013 - 19:15

Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are all set to compete with Chelsea for the sign of the Italian international Daniele De Rossi.

  • Arsenal to swap Gabriel Jesus for Inter Milan star?
  • Arsenal leading race to sign Belgian midfielder

  • It has been reported that the Roma man, after returning from Confederations Cup, met with the club’s sporting director Walter Sabatini, earlier this week, to ponder over his future with the club. The club has agreed to listen to offers above £15 million for the midfielder.

De Rossi, who will turn 30 this year, has had a disappointing season with Roma and the prospects of a club exit look strong. New manager Rudi Garcia is reportedly keen on retaining the midfielder but having lost his starting place in the midfield, it is less likely that De Rossi stays.

Chelsea has been in contact with Roma since last month as they look to seal the move for De Rossi to Stamford Bridge. Madrid and PSG are understood to be keeping tabs on the situation.

Jose Mourinho has already stepped up his offer to Roma for De Rossi, after his initial call of £10m was rejected. But now the entry of the cash-rich giants in the race could lead to further increase in the Italy international’s price.
