The Gunners boss is ready to confirm his interest in Queens Park Rangers keeper Julio Cesar with a £1.5m bid to acquire the player's services.
Julio Cesar who is currently at a £70k per week deal with recently relegated QPR, is keen on a move to the North London club, and is likely to be allowed to move on the cheap to have him off the Championship club's wage bill.
Arsenal's manager Wenger sees the 33-year-old Brazilian International as the ideal experienced keeper who would provide competition alongside Wojciech Szczesny, but also be their new number 1.
The North London side have been monitoring the goalie for the past few months, and are now willing to start the bidding process.
