Rumoured Arsenal target, Clement Grenier, has decided to agree a fresh contract at French giants Lyon. The midfielder has been widely linked with a move to Arsene Wenger's side this summer.
The talented playmaker had to make some major decisions this week but has decided that his long term future will be at Lyon. The French international has signed a brand new 3 year extension to his contract, but his new deal is believed to have a 15 million Euro release clause within it.
The 22-year-old has been monitored by the Gunners for several months and Wenger even made an enquiry a few weeks ago.
However, the new deal is sure to disappoint many Arsenal fans who are eagerly waiting for their first major transfer of the summer.
"We talked, and as Clement has good people around him and has his head in the right place and his heart with OL, things were finalised quickly," said Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas, as he confirmed Clement's new deal.
