Crystal Palace to finalising Peter Odemingie deal

Misfit striker nears Crystal Palace transfer

Crystal Palace to finalising Peter Odemingie deal

15 July 2013 - 16:47

Peter Odemwingie will be officially unveiled as a Crystal Palace player this week. The forward has been given permission to speak to the newly promoted side after his current club West Brom told the striker he is surplus to requirements.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • Odemwingie famously demanded a transfer away from WBA at the end of January's transfer window, and even showed up at QPR's stadium in anticipation of a transfer. However, the deal collapsed and the Nigerian was therefore forced to be a part of Steve Clarke's squad for the remainder of the season. This did not go down well with Odemwingie, who refused to play for the club.<br />

This appears to be no deterrent for Palace's manager Ian Holloway, who will offer the striker a three year contract at Selhurst Park.
