Roma have signed PSV Eindhoven midfielder Kevin Strootman. The Dutch international midfielder had been linked with a move to Man Utd but has instead decided to join the Serie A side.

 • The 23-year-old centre midfielder is very highly rated in his homeland and has impressed many at PSV since arriving from Utrecht in 2011.
Napoli were last minute entrants in the race to sign Strootman, but it appears Roma have won the race.
"A transfer can not be stopped [when it is] for one of the greatest figures in the history of PSV," club director at PSV, Marcel Brands told the club's website. "But it is also a large sporting loss."
