Roberto Soldado, a reported target of Tottenham, will be staying at Valencia for the new season. The international striker had been linked with a move to Andre Villas-Boas' side this summer.
Despite over two years of persistent rumours linking him with a move to England, he may have to wait for yet even longer to try his luck in the Premier League after Valencia's chairman confirmed that Soldado will be staying put.
In addition, Valencia have revealed that no offers have been made for the Spain international striker.
Tottenham are believed to be looking for a new forward as there remains some uncertainty over the long term future of current strike duo Jermain Defoe and Emmanuel Adebayor. Adebayor is currently in talks with Turkish club Besiktas.
