PSG Will Not Sell Any Players

20 July 2013 - 19:33

PSG boss Laurent Blanc is headstrong to retain his current squad and he is not ready to sell any of his players, despite having plenty of options available to him for any playing position.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • Blanc claims that even though some of his players have been linked with a move away from the club, he believes they will stay. He said:

“Everything is very clear. If PSG are to become a great club, players have to understand that there will be great players in every position. It is then a competition to become a first team member. I believe Mamadou (Sakho) is receptive to that”

Sakho had been linked with Liverpool as he has moved further down the pecking order, following the arrival of Marquinho but Blanc expects him to stay and contend for place.

About Zlatan Ibrahimovic, the manager is hopeful that he will stay. Ibrahimovic was reportedly unhappy with Edinson Cavani’s arrival at the club and reports claimed that he was not ready to play alongside him.

“I am sure he will stay. That is what he has told me. He can complement Edinson Cavani well”
