Crystal Palace still looking for new faces

21 July 2013 - 13:51

Crystal Palace manager Ian Holloway admits that it is frustrating having to compete with the best of the Premier League in this summer's transfer market, but he is hopeful some new players will be brought in this month.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • Having taking Quincy Owusu-Abeyie and Elliot Grandin on trials this summer, it is believed Palace are looking to sign players on the cheap as they prepare for their first campaign back in England's top flight.

"We're trying to bridge that gap as quickly as we can," Holloway said.

"I am watching players and players and players and players and players until I get that balance in the group that I want.

"My chairman is a bright fella and learning very, very quickly and hopefully some of the deals we need to get done, so I have at least four weeks with someone to impress on them."
