Serie A side Lazio have announced the capture of highly rated Croatian youngster Josip Elex for an undisclosed fee.
Earlier reports suggesting that the deal has broken down over problems with the medical has proved to be baseless rumors.
The nineteen year old made three appearances for Hajduk Split last season and joins the Serie A side amidst growing reputation as one of the finest young defenders around.
Lazio manager Vladimir Petkovic, who led Lazio to the Coppa Italia win last season, is looking to make some quality additions to his squad as they aim to put up an impressive performance in the Europa Cup in the coming season.
"Ss Lazio announce the signing on a permanent move from Hajduk Split the player Josip Elez", the club wrote on their Twitter page.
