Tottenham target Boriello set to sign for Inter Milan on loan

27 July 2013 - 09:59

Tottenham Hotspurs target Marco Borriello looks set to defer a move to the North London club and accept a season long loan deal to Serie A giants Inter Milan.

  • Chelsea join Liverpool & Man Utd in race to sign 26yo
  • Barcelona identify Arsenal midfielder as key transfer target

  • The Italian forward was considered as surplus to requirements at As Roma and he spent the entire spell of last season on loan at Genoa, where he notched up 12 goals in 28 appearances for the Serie A side.

Premier League side Tottenham have now explored the opportunity of bringing the striker to the White Hart Lane on a season long loan deal . The Spurs manager Andre Villas-Boas is in search of a proven goal scorer but his move for the striker looks unlikely following the player's willingness to move to Inter Milan.

The 31-year-old Italian International has never played outside of his home country and he is now willing to accept a move to yet another Serie A side.
