Everton make loan offer for Zaragoza midfielder Apono

27 July 2013 - 13:56

Everton have made an offer for Apono of Real Zaragoza. The Spanish side were relegated from La Liga last year and are now busy rebuilding their squad ahead of the new campaign. Despite an impressive season last season, the player has been told he is free to leave the club.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Arsenal handed huge boost ahead of Bournemouth clash

  • The 29-year-old, who joined Zaragoza from Malaga in 2012, scored 9 goals in 32 games but it would not be enough to rescue the club from survival to the Segunda Division.

The 5 foot 8 midfielder has told his agent that he has no plans to play in the second division and Everton coach Roberto Martinez is set to use his Spanish influence to secure the central midfielder's signing.
