29 July 2013 - 10:51

Newcastle midfielder Yohan Cabaye has told reporters that he remains focused on the current job in hand at the Toon Army and is ignoring talk of an imminent transfer away from St James' Park.

  • Omari Hutchinson wants to continue at Ipswich Town

  • Manchester United, Monaco and Paris St Germain are amongst the teams all linked with a move for the Frenchman, but Alan Pardew has told club upper management that the player is an important part of his first team plans for the coming season.

Cabaye himself admitted he is flattered to have been linked with moves to some of Europe's biggest teams, but is focused on his current team: "I'm just working hard. We have to be focused and ready for the first game on August 19.

"The feeling in the squad is very, very positive. It's nice to work in this atmosphere."
