Crystal Palace tracking Jeremy Bokila

Crystal Palace have been in contact with Belgian side Zulte Waregem regarding a move for Congo international striker Jeremy Bokila. The 24-year-old spent last year on loan at Petrolul Ploiesti in Romania and impressed.

Palace have been busy this summer in their search for a new striker, with Quincy Owusu-Abeyie currently on trial at Selhurst Park and Carlton Cole also linked with a move to Ian Holloway's side. However, it is understood Palace are in advanced discussions with Waregem regarding a move for Bokila.<br />

The Egles have had an offer of 1 million Euros accepted for the&nbsp;burly forward, who Palace are hoping will fire them to success this season as Bokila has already been compared to Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke by some in Belgium.<br />

The player will not need to apply for a work permit as he already holds a Belgian passport.
