Real legend Zidane wants to hold talks with Bale

31 July 2013 - 12:22

Real Madrid legend and Director of football Zinedine Zidane has urged Tottenham Hotspurs to allow Welsh winger Gareth Bale to talk to the Frenchman.

  • Man Utd winger has rejected Chelsea, wants Barcelona move
  • Chelsea agree deal to sign 20yo English winger

  • Zidane has already claimed that the Spanish giants won't give up in their efforts to sign the talented 24 year old.

It has been reported widely by the Spanish press that Florentino Perez has already tabled a bid in excess of £85 million shattering existing transfer world records.

It is not yet sure if Spurs chairman Deniel Levy wants to hold onto the highly rated winger or is waiting on an improved from Real Madrid. But Zidane firmly believes that either way the player must be allowed to discuss his future as he has shown desire to join the Los Blancos.

Zidane said: "If he's expressed a desire to join Madrid, then Tottenham should give him permission to speak with us.

"The chance to play for Real Madrid might only come around once in a player's lifetime - and it's understandable Gareth doesn't want to miss out on it."
