Soldado nearing Spurs move

31 July 2013 - 18:20

Valencia striker Roberto Soldado is on the verge of completing his move to Tottenham Hotspur according to the club's president.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Arsenal handed huge boost ahead of Bournemouth clash

  • The 28 year old has been linked with a move to White Hart Lane all summer and it is believed that Spurs have finally agreed to meet the player's buy out price of £26 million.

Soldado, 28 years old, has also been eager to move to the Premier League and has been pushing for the deal to go through.

President Amadeo Salvo told the local media that an issue with the striker's agents is holding up the deal and the transfer will go through as soon as it is resolved.

Salvo said: "The deal with Tottenham has been completed."

"A problem with Soldado's agents has come up and the player will not leave the club until a solution has been found."
