German side Hamburg will be unable to finance a move for Everton's striker Nikica Jelavic. The former Rangers forward has been one of several top strikers linked with a transfer to the Bundesliga side.
However, the Croatian forward will not be able to make a move from Everton this summer as he remains an important member of the first team for the club and Toffees' manager Roberto Martinez will only sell for a minimum of 10 million Euros.
"It is still a fact we first have to sell a couple of players before we can dig into buying any new," Hamburger general manager Oliver Kreuzer said.
"And as far as I am concerned we will be unable to finance a deal with Everton FC for him [Jelavic]."
