Besiktas president Ahmet Nur Cebi has confirmed his side have made an offer for former Barcelona superstar Ronaldinho. The bid has been placed after coach Slaven Bilic revealed his desire to have the player on board.

  • "I would love to have Ronaldinho in my squad”, said the coach.

"He might be a little older now, but I think that he still has at least two good years in him. Even at his age, he would contribute a lot to Besiktas and could help us to the next level.”

The 33-year-old has less than six months remaining on his current deal and has fuelled speculations surrounding his future. He has been heavily linked with a return to Europe this summer.

The Turkish giants have shown interest in the aging star of Atletico Mineiro and now they are waiting for a response from the Brazilian outfit. The president told in his interview,

"We have submitted a bid to Atletico Mineiro and now we are waiting for an answer."

Ronaldinho, who joined Mineiro from Flamengo in 2012, helped them cruise their way to first ever victory in Copa Libertadores last month.
