Payment For Bale To Be Done In Installments

03 August 2013 - 15:55

Gareth Bale’s departure from Tottenham for the Liga giants Real Madrid appears inevitable now as Marca reports that the payment terms for Bale have been discussed and decided between the business partners.

  • Chelsea expected to sell striker after loan deal
  • Arsenal defender misses training ahead of Man Utd game

  • The source claims that the transfer fee agreed is in the region of €100m and Real has agreed on paying the amount in five installments. It has also been suggested that Real has offered to pay no more than €25million as the first installment.

Tottenham will take on Monaco on Saturday without their most important player, Bale, who bid an emotional farewell to his teammates on Friday.

This payment mode in form of installments would have certain unsaid consequences for Spurs who have been lining up several targets for acquisition, if Bale leaves the club. The North London side were reportedly looking to make four signings from the cash accrued by Bale’s transfer but the installment method of payment for Bale could restrict them from making big-money signings.
