Valencia defender Cissokho reveals Liverpool offer

Valencia defender Cissokho reveals Liverpool offer

09 August 2013 - 22:13

Valencia full back Aly Cissokho has revealed that he has agreed personal terms with Premier League side Liverpool but the clubs are yet to come to an agreement.

  • Chelsea suffer double injury blow ahead of Villa trip
  • Gabriel Magalhaes to sign new Arsenal deal

  • The 25 year old moved to the Mestalla last summer from Olympique Lyon but has since then failed to establish himself as the number one choice at the left back position.

Cissokho just managed 11 appearances for Miroslav Dukic's side and is apparently keen to make a move to Anfield so as to get more first team opportunities.

However, the major stumbling block in the deal seems to be Liverpool's eagerness to take the player on loan with a buy option at the end while Valencia are more keen on offloading him this summer.

"Liverpool have made me an offer and it is true that I have reached an agreement with them," Cissokho said on Le 10 Sport.

"It is now up to the clubs to agree terms. I expect to know more later this week.

"If nothing happens this week, it probably means that I will not be going to Liverpool.

"The conditions of the transfer are the problem. Liverpool prefer a loan deal with an option to buy, while Valencia want to sell straight away.

"If the transfer doesn't take place, it's not a problem either. I am feeling well at Valencia."
