Mancini unhappy at Juve draw

Mancini unhappy at Juve draw

05 November 2007 - 22:28

Roberto Mancini has spoken of his disappointment after his Inter Milan side failed to hang on to a 1-0 victory against Juventus at the Stadio Olimpico at the weekend. Mancini feels that Juventus should've grabbed the three points in Serie A.

  • Arsenal to swap Gabriel Jesus for Inter Milan star?
  • Arsenal leading race to sign Belgian midfielder

  • Mauro Camoranesi's strike cancelled out Julio Cruz's opener for the visitors, but the away draw is not enough for Mancini.

"We didn’t want to get a draw here, but unfortunately if you don’t go 2-0 up then that is what can happen. The draw is not the right result, we deserved all three points," said the Inter manager.

"We wasted a great deal and in football if you do that, you get punished. I am only sorry that we were unable to seal the win, as we were deserving of that victory.

"This was a great opportunity to stretch out at the top, but we cannot have regrets considering our excellent performance."
