Napoli midfielder Marek Hamsik has signed a new contract until 2018. Rafa Benitez made renewing the Slovakian's contract one of his top priorities after arriving at the club.
Aurelio Di Laurentiis, Napoli's chairman, confirmed on Twitter that the 26-year-old signed a new deal: "It is a shirt that Marek is happy to honour. We have renewed his contract, extending it until 2018."<br />
The highly rated Slovakia international has attracted interest from many of Europe's top clubs over the past two years, but looks set to stay put with Napoli for the forseeable future.
