Argetina international Javier Mascherano has refused to rule out his chances of leaving Cam Nou this summer while talking to El Pais.
The former Liverpool midfielder joined the Catalan giants in 2010 and has been a consistent figure in the team ever since.
The 29 year old South American showed his versatility last season when he was forced to play in the center of defense for the majority of last season for Barcelona.
However, it is not sure if the Argentina features in new manager Gerardo Martinez's scheme of things as he has been in constant look out for a new defender this summer.
Mascherano told El Pais: "You never know. In football, you have to be prepared for anything.
"There were calls from somewhere else, but no offers.
"There are always doubts. You are at Barcelona and you have to fight for your place.
"The question is whether you now fight in the same circumstances, as I have always had to win my starting place throughout my career. It's as it should be.
"If Barca tell me they don't need me, I will be off within a minute."
