Queens Park Rangers are confident that a deal to sign Scott Parker from Tottenham can be wrapped up before the end of the week. The England international midfielder has been told he is free to leave the club.
With Paulinho's arrival at White Hart Lane, it is widely expected that Parker had been told he is free to leave. The player had attracted the interest of both Sunderland and Tottenham but his preference is to play in London.
"We're hopeful of getting Scotty signed soon," QPR manager Harry Redknapp said.
"He's a great lad and will be a really good signing for us."
