Roberto De Zerbi front-runner for Chelsea job?

Former Brighton & Hove Albion manager Roberto De Zerbi is a front-runner to become the next head coach of Chelsea.
The Blues are currently exploring their managerial options following the departure of Mauricio Pochettino by mutual consent.
They have been linked with multiple names, but reports claim that De Zerbi is an early favourite to succeed Pochettino at the helm.
The Italian parted ways with Brighton at the end of the season, but the Seagulls will still be owed a compensation package.
The Blues admire De Zerbi's playing style and ability to control possession. Should they opt to sign him, Brighton will be owed €10m.
Manchester United have also been linked with the former Sassuolo man, but they are leaning towards other candidates for now.
Pochettino, Thomas Frank, Thomas Tuchel and Kieran McKenna are among managers under consideration to replace Erik ten Hag.
Chelsea are aiming to recruit a new manager at the earliest possibility. An announcement could be made before the end of next week.
