Sergio Floccari targeted by Sunderland

Paolo Di Canio is set to make another transfer raid on Italy, with 31-year-old striker Sergio Floccari linked with a move to the Black Cats. The Lazio forward has one year remaining on his contract and is available for a fee of around 2 million Euros.

The well travelled Lazio striker, who has had spells at Genoa, Parma and Atalanta among others, bagged 4 Serie A goals in 16 games last year. He has been told that he is free to move club this transfer window.<br />

Sunderland representatives have been in contact with the Lazio forward's agent this week and a deal should be wrapped up before the end of the transfer window.
