Paolo Di Canio is set to make another transfer raid on Italy, with 31-year-old striker Sergio Floccari linked with a move to the Black Cats. The Lazio forward has one year remaining on his contract and is available for a fee of around 2 million Euros.
The well travelled Lazio striker, who has had spells at Genoa, Parma and Atalanta among others, bagged 4 Serie A goals in 16 games last year. He has been told that he is free to move club this transfer window.
Sunderland representatives have been in contact with the Lazio forward's agent this week and a deal should be wrapped up before the end of the transfer window.
