Norwich City are monitoring Morocco international forward Mounir El Hamdaoui. The Fiorentina forward has attracted the interest of several other teams, but Chris Hughton's side appear to be in pole position to secure his coveted signature.

In Serie A the forward struggled to reproduce the form that made him one of Europe's most feared strikers, scoring just 3 goals in 19 games.<br />

Norwich have made bids for Swedish international forward Ola Toivonen, but that transfer has fallen through seeing Hughton switch his attentions to El Hamdaoui.
