Anton Ferdinand joins Turkish club for free

14 August 2013 - 17:39

Former Queens Park Rangers' defender Anton Ferdinand has joined Turkish club Anatalyaspor on a free transfer.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • The 28 year old center half joined the Rangers back in 2011 from Sunderland and immediately cemented his place in the starting line up. However, Ferdinand saw himself lose his place in the side in the following season and was shipped off on a loan move to Bursaspor earlier in January.

Anatalyaspor were impressed by Ferdinand's performances in the Turkish league and moved to sign him after he was released by QPR.

He joined his new club on a three year deal after successfully passing a medical at the club.
