Manchester United manager David Moyes has told reporters that he is closing in on some new players, it is just a matter of time before these can be announced. United were heavily linked with Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas this month, but a deal for the Spaniard has been scuppered.
“I’m confident we’ll have players in soon,’ Moyes said.<br /><br />“We’re involved in several players we’re looking at and that will continue. Will we get them before the deadline? I hope so, but we’re working very hard to do so.<br /><br />“It was always going to be a difficult window for me personally. I joined on July 1st, which has given me a short period.<br /><br />“It’s never the same until you’ve worked with the players, but we’ve got a great group of players, they won the Premier League last year.”
