Manchester United manager David Moyes has told reporters that he is closing in on some new players, it is just a matter of time before these can be announced. United were heavily linked with Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas this month, but a deal for the Spaniard has been scuppered.
“I’m confident we’ll have players in soon,’ Moyes said.
“We’re involved in several players we’re looking at and that will continue. Will we get them before the deadline? I hope so, but we’re working very hard to do so.
“It was always going to be a difficult window for me personally. I joined on July 1st, which has given me a short period.
“It’s never the same until you’ve worked with the players, but we’ve got a great group of players, they won the Premier League last year.”
