Cissokho joins Liverpool on loan

Valencia full back Aly Cissokho has agreed a one season loan deal to Anfield. The deal will also give the Anfield side the option to extend the deal at the end of this coming season to a permanent transfer.

The 25-year-old has been linked with a move to Liverpool for many months and it appears the Frenchman has finally earned the move he has been pushing for since the end of last season.<br />

Sunderland were last minute candidates for Cissokho's signature, but the player has opted to join Brendan Rodgers' side instead.<br />

The left back has played for the likes of Porto, Lyon and Vitoria Setubal during his career, and has been capped once by his country.
