Arsenal set to sign Sébastien Corchia ?

According to speculation coming out of France, Arsenal are edging closer to the signing of Sébastien Corchia from French Ligue 1 club Sochaux-Montbéliard.

The 22-year-old was linked with a move to the Emirates earlier this summer as the highly rated defender was eyed upon by the Arsenal scouts, but nothing evolved from the speculation. <br /><br />The Gunners are again said to be interested in acquiring the player's services as the North London outfit are yet to sign to make a commendable signing this summer. The talented French right-back is seen as a long term alternative to Bacary Sagna, who is yet to extend his contract at the Emirates.<br />

Sébastien Corchia could be the perfect player to provide competition to Carl Jenkinson who is said to be groomed as a successor to Bacary Sagna.<br />

Corchia has made 65 league appearances for the French Ligue 1 side so far.
