  • Richards is an Arsenal fan and is thought to be considering the move, as well as the chance to gain a first team spot ahead of the World Cup in Brazil next summer.

Wenger is keen to reinforce his squad before transfer deadline day, and is thought to be interested in a vast number of players, including Richards, Yohane Cabaye, Paul Pogba and Michu.

Richards made 8 appearances for Manchester City last season, scoring no goals and picking up 2 yellow cards.
