Arsenal set to battle Man Utd to acquire Fellaini's signature?

20 August 2013 - 13:54

According to the Manchester Evening news, Arsenal have reportedly joined the race to sign Everton midfielder Marouane Fellaini after Manchester United's interest on the Belgian International was revealed yesterday.

  • Chelsea midfielder looking forward to London derby vs Spurs
  • Arsenal in the front row to sign Dutch striker

  • The Premier League champions had made a bid worth £28m for Fellaini and Leighton Baines which was rejected by the Toffees describing the offer as "derisory and insulting".

The report suggests that the Gunners have switched their focus to the Belgian star, having seen their initial bid for Newcastle United's Yohan Cabaye rejected.

It will be interesting to see what the outcome will be in the coming few days as the Gunners manager Arsene Wenger has come under immense pressure from the fans to sign star players this summer.
