Question marks over the long term future of striker Nicolas Anelka have been put to rest. It had been reported that the French striker would be looking to quit from football.
However, West Brom have admitted the player will not be involved this weekend on "compassionate leave" after the death of his agent, Eric Manasse.<br />
The 34-year-old held talks with sporting director Richard Garlick on Thursday morning and then left the training ground to mourn the loss of Manasse. The club has been excused from his club duties for a short period, but is expected to return shortly.
