Martin Demichelis will join Manchester City this week and end Manuel Pellegrini's long search for a new central defender. Demichelis, who had been linked with a move to Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund, will pen a two year contract at the Etihad Stadium.
Atletico Madrid have already told City that they want 5 million Euros for the 32-year-old, but City are confident they can land the player for around 4 million Euros.
The Argentine international joined Atletico Madrid this summer after fellow Spanish side Malaga cancelled the player's contract at the end of last season. However, Atleti still are demanding a hefty fee to sell the defender to the English side.
