Roma manager Garcia puts faith in club directors

25 August 2013 - 04:35

AS Roma's manager Rudi Garcia has told reporters that he is waiting for more information about an imminent move to Tottenham for star midfielder Erik Lamela. Garcia has suggested that he completely trusts the Roma directors' judgment in the transfer market.

  • Arsenal to swap Gabriel Jesus for Inter Milan star?
  • Arsenal leading race to sign Belgian midfielder

  • Roma have so far sold many of their players this summer and have brought in the likes of Gervinho. It is understood that many fans are concerned about Roma's lack of signings in the transfer market.

However, for manager Rudi Garcia, he is confident that his directors will buy the players to help him push for a top position in Serie A: "I want all of the players in my squad to remain but I think the transfer market is the worst time for a coach and it is irritating that the season has started before the window closes.

"We are working closely with the directors and I trust they will give me a competitive squad. Lamela? I only ever give my line-up to players two hours before the game but Erik is in the squad along with 22 other players."
