Carlo Ancelotti quiet on Gareth Bale move talk

25 August 2013 - 16:08

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has kept quiet on reports that Gareth Bale will sign for his team this week. Real and Tottenham are seemingly locked in talks over a transfer for the Welsh international, but a transfer appears to still be some way off.

  • Ancelotti is desperate to bring in Gareth Bale to the Bernebeu and partner the Welshman with one of the world's best players, Cristiano Ronaldo.

"I don't like to speak for two reasons, first of all because Gareth Bale is not a player of Real Madrid at this moment, and also because I need to have respect for my players," said Ancelotti.

"They are here and we are focusing on our game tomorrow. I know that at this moment it is easy to talk about the market because it is very close to the end. I do hope the Monday deadline will arrive very soon."
