Arsenal handed major boost on Odegaard for Newcastle trip

Arsenal have been handed a major injury boost on Martin Odegaard ahead of the Premier League clash against Newcastle United on Saturday.
The Gunners returned to winning ways on Wednesday night with a 3-0 win over Preston North End in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.
Ethan Nwaneri was brilliant in the number 10 role for the Gunners, but manager Mikel Arteta has yet to be convinced to start him in the league.
It is now reported by Evening Standard that Odegaard has made good progress in his recovery from an ankle injury picked up last month.
He has been working in the grass for some time and has an outside chance of making the matchday squad for the upcoming game at St James' Park.
Odegaard is likely to be eased back into action after his long-term absence. If he is absent on Sunday, there is a high chance that he will face Inter.
Arsenal face Inter Milan and Chelsea on the road after the Magpies.
