Newcastle reignite interest in Bafetimbi Gomis

Newcastle have reopened talks with Lyon with a possible move for striker Bafetimbi Gomis. The 28-year-old has already been in discussions with the Toon Army twice this summer.

Newcastle's efforts to sign the international striker have so far been thwarted by Lyon, who value the striker in the region of 15 million Euros. Newcastle will now try a third time to land the forward.<br />

Gomis has already requested a transfer this summer and is confident a deal will go through this time.<br />

So far this summer in the striking department, Newcastle have signed Loic Remy on a loan deal from QPR.
