Despite the interest of Napoli and Galatasaray, it appears that Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel wants to stay with the Blues for the current season and beyond. The Nigerian international is reportedly ready to stay at Chelsea for his whole career.

  • The defensive midfielder has lost his place in Chelsea's first team to Ramires in recent months, but Mikel wants to stay at the Bridge and battle on for a first team place.

Mikel's agent Jon Shittu said of the Blues: "He loves this club, the manager knows him and likes him and he will not be going anywhere during this transfer window. Some clubs came in and expressed their interest but that is where it stopped. They were never allowed to get to the point where we could even begin to start talking about valuation or negotiation."
