AC Milan are confident that a deal can be agreed for Keisuke Honda before the end of the transfer window. The Japanese international, currently at CSKA Moscow, has a contract with the Russian club that will expire in six months.
However AC Milan want to sign the midfielder immediately as they prepare for reinforcements having sold Kevin-Prince Boateng to Schalke yesterday.
“Kaka is a very difficult deal and at the moment we’re negotiating with CSKA to try to get Honda straight away,” Milan’s vice-president Adriano Galliano said. “It’s more likely to be Honda than Kaka, and signing one excludes signing the other.”
