Stoke City tracking Wolfsburg striker Bas Dost

31 August 2013 - 05:08

Stoke City have made an enquiry to VfL Wolfsburg for Dutch striker Bas Dost. The burly forward is reportedly available for as little as 3.5 million Euros after the Bundesliga side decided to put the player on the market.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Man Utd serious about signing Rafael Leao
  • Dost joined Wolfsburg back in 2012 from Dutch side Heerenveen, where the 6 foot 4 man scored 47 goals in 66 games; at the German side Dost has failed to reproduce his best form though having only scored 8 goals last year.<br />

Stoke City manager Mark Hughes wants to sign a new striker to compliment his current batch of forwards and it is understood that Dost could be an eventual replacement for Peter Crouch.
